PAH emissions from coal Atmospheric Fluidised Bed Combustion

摘要
With the aim of studying the influence of coal combustion on PAH emissions, a subbituminous coal was burned in an atmospheric fluidised bed combustion (AFBC) pilot plant keeping constant the air total flow and the combustion temperature and varying the percentage of excess oxygen. The samples collected in each run were analysed by fluorescence spectroscopy in the synchronous mode (FS) after extraction by ultrasonic bath with dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent. It was concluded that the percentage of excess oxygen is decisive on PAH formation and emission and that the highest PAH emissions were obtained working at low percentages of excess oxygen.
