摘要
In this paper, a reconfigurable reflectarray antenna (RRA) based on programmable metasurface is proposed for wideband wide-angle beam scanning. The quasi-butterfly reflecting element soldering a PIN diode specially designed can offer two 1-bit compensation phase values of 0 and pi. Moreover, the phase difference remains 180 degrees +/- 20 degrees over a wide band from 8 GHz to 12 GHz. Utilizing this element, a reconfigurable reflectarray antenna based on 20 x 20 programmable metasurface is designed and simulated. Wideband wide-angle radiation performance, that the main beam can scan up to +/- 60 degrees from 8 GHz to 12 GHz both in xoz and yoz plane, was verified by the simulated results. Therefore, the proposed RRA has the potential to be a low-cost substitute of the active phased array.
