摘要：
As native cattle of Kerala were very low milk yielders exotic inheritance was introduced through massive crossbreeding programmes to enhance milk yield. This resulted in various levels of exotic inheritance in native breeds. The effect of nongetic factors on first lactation milk yield in the cross breed cattle is reported.
