The Study on the College Teacher Performance Evaluation System Based on the Clustering Analysis

The clustering analysis has been widely applied in various teacher evaluation systems, but the shortcomings still exist in the effectiveness of the teacher ratings, which requires further improvements in the standard teacher evaluation system. This paper applies mixed methods and combines the school backgrounds to study the teacher ratings and student scoring data and identify school leaders' attitudes and decision-making strategies for the teacher evaluation. The results indicate that the comprehensiveness of the rating and the decision-making of the school leaders are the important factors influencing the effectiveness of the system, and a complete teacher performance evaluation system could help to objectively and fairly rate the teachers.
