For 1 <= alpha < 2, we consider the Toeplitz operator T-mu,T-alpha on Bloch-type space B-alpha(B-n) in the unit ball of C-n, where mu is a positive Borel measure on B-n. We give the necessary and sufficient conditions for T-mu,T-alpha to be bounded or compact on B-alpha(B-n). Therefore, positive Borel measure mu on B-n is completely characterized for which T-mu,T-alpha is bounded or compact on the Bloch-type space B-alpha (B-n). (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
