摘要
The article describes two cases: an anaplastic (malignant) brain oligodendroglioma with metastases in the heart muscle of a 10 year old boxer, and a brain hemangiopericytoma in a 14 year old dachshund. The first CNS tumour was grey, soft and large (2 x 1,1 cm in diameter), located in the white matter and had partially attacked the grey matter in the parietal and temporal lobes of the right cerebral hemisphere. Frequent mitotic figures and moderate nuclear pleomorphism with oval and fusiform vesicular nuclei and granular chromatin nuclei were discovered by microscope. The tumour cells had central or paracentral nuclei and a clear cytoplasm. The tumour displayed areas of central cysts, necrosis and areas having a typical honeycomb appearance. The second tumour, found in a 14 year old dachshund dog, was white-grey and had grown into the shape of a pyramid and corpus trapezoideum. It was of middle density and composed of cellular forms having various shapes and severe vessel proliferation was also noted. Epilepsy may be observed concurrently with this type of tumour. Thus, it would be necessary to take into account that brain tumours may appear in dogs over 10 years of age.
