An international comparison of library services for distance learning

This paper presents an international perspective on library services for off-campus and distance education students. It examines the knowledge base in this area, the factors influencing research and publication, and the topics and themes in the literature from various countries and regions of the world. Four models of service provide a framework for comparing international issues. The paper concludes by offering a glimpse of what the future holds for providing library services to distance learners.
