摘要
Waste management is a priority issue for improving sanitation in urban areas of India. In this paper, we report on current research and ongoing activities in building, piloting, and implementing a mobile application for waste management in two cities. The Living Labs framework is being used as the conceptual foundation for this project, which is stemming from the United Nations Action Team 6 Follow-Up Initiative (International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences XL-8, 2014) [5], which in long term leverages ICTs for improvement of public health and environment.
