摘要
The rights of Muslim women, highlighted by the Quran and the sacred texts of Islam, have been in evidence in recent years, especially in view of Western perspectives on the situation of Islamic women and the constant violations of their rights by radical groups. . Thus, this article proposes to present an analysis about the social role played by women in the Muslim community and their fundamental rights according to Islamic writings. In addition, we highlight the contrasts between the western and eastern Islamic worlds in order to understand that female emancipation is not just a discourse embodied in western modernity, and the justifications for expanding the western model to the east. Considerations are made based on scholarly publications on Western liberal principles, postcolonial theory as a way of counteracting Westernism (Eurocentrism), Islamic religion, and excerpts from the holy books of Islam, which stand out. the Quran. Whose result revealed that with the emergence of Islam in the mid-seventh century AD, women have gained rights that have only been admitted by the West in recent times.
