摘要
Foreign and domestic studies on the industrial upgrading and carbon efficiency improvement are reviewed in the paper. Foreign studies were carried out early than China. The main viewpoints such as "cost increasing" and "innovation compensation" were argued and more people accept the latter view. Environment Kuznets Curve was also put forward to reflect the relationship of the economy and environment. The low-carbon economy and the third industrial revolution are both development trend to deal with the increasingly serious environment and energy constraint. China is confronted with the dual task of industrial upgrading and environment protecting, a number of domestic scholars studied on how to realize the two aims simultaneously. Green Total Factor Productivity estimation and its improvement have been one important issue to reflect the industrial green upgrading. How to improve carbon productivity of industry is another important research branch. Although the researches have made considerable progress, there are still many questions need to be studied, such as the industrial green upgrading theory, the more detailed studies on the interaction mechanism of carbon emission reduction and industrial upgrading and so on.
