One way of linking Carlo Emilio Gadda to Campanella refers to the linguistic -literary reform employed by the latter at the level of both theory and practice. Although writing in different times, both authors emerge as reference points for a radical renewal of the Italian cultural tradition. Moreover, the image of Campanella as a reformer, utopian and martyr is found in Gadda's writings and in his criticism of the aberrant non -justice of the Fascist period.
