The language instinct of Steven Pinker

The author outlines the basic arguments for the biological nature of language to be found in Steven Pinker's 1994 book The Language Instinct. He presents his comments on the book, as well as comments made by Jaroslav Peregrin in his 1999 review of Pinker's book. To give an example of arguments opposing those of Pinker, the author mentions the basic content of Geoffrey Sampson's lecture There is no language instinct, held in Prague in 2001.
