摘要
The solubility of carbon dioxide, ethylene, ethane, and methane in 1-n-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF6]) at 25degreesC are reported. This information is important in evaluating ionic liquids as media for reactions involving gases ie., C2H4), considering the extraction of solutes from ionic liquids by gas stripping or supercritical fluid extraction, and considering the use of ionic liquids for gas separation and purification. Carbon dioxide is quite soluble in bmim][PF6], followed by ethylene, ethane and methane.
