Simultaneous maximum likelihood estimation of time delay and time scaling

摘要：
In this paper we present a simultaneous maximum likelihood estimator (ML)for time delay, and time-scaling in the presence of additive white Gaussian Noise. The Cramer-Rao lower bound for the variance of the estimates is also derived. The performance of the estimator is evaluated for ultrasound echoes for different time-scalings and different lime delays. The performance is compared to the standard cross-correlation estimator.
