On equations over Brandt semigroups

摘要：
In this paper, we study equations in one variable over Brandt semigroup B-n. We show that the average number of solutions of these equations is asymptotically equal to n(2). We prove that the proportion of unsolvable equations is asymptotically equal to 2/n(2).
