摘要
PID controllers are still widely employed in industrial close-loop control. But, conventional tuning rules with fixed settings usually fail to offer satisfactory performance during both the transient and steady state operational phases. Existing set point weighting techniques may provide improved response either during set point tracking or in load rejection phases. In contrast, the proposed fuzzy rule based set point weighting mechanism is capable to offer satisfactory response irrespective of the transient or steady state operational phases during close-loop operation. Here, efficacy of the proposed fuzzy rule based set point weighted PID controller is demonstrated on a real-time DC servo position control system. Supremacy of the reported scheme has been established through performance comparison with other reputed set point weighting methodologies.
