摘要
Damping capacity of in situ Al/TiB2 Composite with four kinds of particulate/Al interface was investigated. The Mixed-Salt reaction method was employed to fabricate Al/TiB2 composite. Al-Ti master alloy and pure Mg ingot were used to form different particulate/matrix interfaces. Experimental results indicate that the damping capacity of Al/5 wt.% TiB2 composite with Ti and Mg co-existing is much higher than that of Al/ 5 wt.% TiB2 composite. The main effect of these two elements is the formation of the complex compound on particulate/Al interface, which resulted in the damping improvement of Al/TiB2 composite. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V.
