摘要
This paper presents the development of super-clean valve spring steel (SAE 9254) for the automotive industry performed in the ISPAT Stahlwerk Ruhrort plant. With the introduction of ISPAT material in the production route of highly stressed valve springs, the specifications of valve spring supplier and consequently the automotive industry have been fulfilled since early in 1995. The European production route of valve spring wire with welting process in Duisburg-Ruhrort is accepted today by all automotive suppliers in Germany and most of the spring suppliers in Europe.
