Design and Optimization of Wideband Multi Section Coupled-line Phase Shifters with Impedance Matching

摘要
A least squares based method is developed for the design and optimization of microstrip coupled line phase shifters. The multi-section coupled line theory is employed to calculate the phase shift in a frequency band. The algorithm also incorporates the load and source impedance matching. The minimization of error function determines the lengths, widths and spacings of strips. The performance of the optimized design perfectly agrees with the available commercial microwave simulation softwares.
