摘要
Methods are presented for certifying standard samples of fissile materials having a 0.5-3-mg/cm(2)-thick layer of a fissile material. Methods of counting alpha particles and gamma photons are employed to certify standard samples of uranium and neptunium, using alpha and gamma spectrometers and reference standard samples for which the number of nuclei in the target-nuclide has been established by several independent methods.
