A Dual-Band Frequency Selective Surface with Close Band Spacing and Miniaturized Response

摘要
In this paper, a dual-band frequency selective surface (FSS) with close band spacing is proposed. The FSS is composed of interwoven convoluted element of dipoles and cross dipoles, which were printed on one surface of a single-layer substrate with a relative permittivity of 2.65 and thickness of 1mm. The proposed FSS has promising miniaturization characteristics. Its element size is less than X/14, where X represents the free-space wavelength corresponding to the first resonant frequency. In addition, the band ratio of the two passbands is only 1.4. Furthermore, the FSS exhibits excellent stability under different polarizations and incident angles.
