摘要
This study aims to analyze whether the Open Innovation model contributes to the good practices of Cleaner Production - conderning the manufacture of medicinal products, and how they are correlated. The research methodology of a qualitative nature has been developed through semi-structured one-on-one interviews done with members of management and professional agencies from the pharmaceutical sector of Sao Paulo, as well as reports of a national scientific civil society executive and a higher education professor/researcher; having the content analysis, as its method. It can be observed, through the responses to the interview questions, a low correlation between the terms Cleaner Production and Open Innovation. The conclusion is that Brazilian Pharmaceutical Industry Companies are concerned about meeting the requirements of regulatory agencies, having - with greater frequency - this work carried out by the internal Research and Development area, once the manufactured products are simpler and the production process is better controlled.
