I begin with a brief tour of Haitian Vodou. Our tour is part descriptive, part subjective, and it devotes some attention to the theatrical and dramatic elements of the tradition. We then follow the trajectory of Vodou's representation from Moreau's day to the present. It is my fervent wish that these minijourneys will on their own make an irresistible argument for an ethics of representation. © 2005 Latin American Perspectives.
