摘要
The study of the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in urban communities is current, necessary and pertinent, since these diseases cause the annual death of a large number of the world's population. Therefore, the objective of this study was to develop an educational intervention strategy for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in urban communities in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia. A pre-experimental study was carried out with the participation of 120 urban dwellers from four municipalities in the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia. On analyzing the results, significant differences were found between the first and second measurements (p < 0.005) in most of the aspects evaluated, indicating that the educational intervention strategy had an influence on the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
