Shared Protection Algorithm based on Virtual Network Embedding Framework in Fiber-Wireless Access Network

摘要
To achieve the Fiber-wireless (FiWi) access network's seamless networking as well as to alleviate bandwidth tension, network virtualization is applied in FiWi networks. With the virtualization of the network, the growing number of people share the same physical resources. However, network components, once out of order, will inevitably bring a lot of loss to more users. Meanwhile, if a node or link fails, there may be several VNs affected. Taking the importance of the protection of FiWi access network with virtualization into account, we propose shared protection mechanism which is embedded for improved Dijkstra routing algorithm to the network in order to improve its security. Through the simulation results, we can see that the shared protection mechanism of can improve the success rate of data transmission of FiWi access network by taking up some of the network resources.
