摘要:
A synthesized polymeric pour point depressant (PPD) from olive oil (Olea Europaea) was used to reduce the pour point and rheology improvement. A maximum reduction of 8 degrees C in pour point which was originally 43 degrees C at ambient temperature after adding 1000 ppm PPD. Rheology was studied at different shear rate with or without mixing of synthesized PPD at different temperature. Viscosity reduction was 89.20% after mixing 1000 ppm PPD at 45 degrees C. Viscoelastic property was studied, and it helps in reduction of heat treatment cost during crude oil transportation through pipelines at cold climate.
