摘要
Today's Romanian hospitality industry is thriving with difficulty, searching for more experiences and practices and new ways of thinking in the protection of tourist destinations, or promotion, design and operations of businesses to inspire, change and elevate the guest experience to the sustainable development and sustainable tourism. The word 'sustainable' has come to mean the 'triple bottom line', of socially, environmentally and economically sustainable development. However, after the Millennium Development Goals were elaborated, it became clear that equity is as yet a distant goal, and that we have first to define and devise strategies that aim to improve the condition of the poor and the dispossessed in between short-term and medium-term goals. Despite Agenda 21, it has been understood that sustainable development requires more than the fulfilling 'aesthetic needs' and 'cultural integrity' that was considered essential to sustainable tourism as once defined by the UNWTO.
