摘要
Geotechnical hazard analyses play a key role in identifying and mitigating against the potential consequences of an earthquake. Geographic information Systems (GIS) provide an environment which is ideal for conducting earthquake hazard and risk analyses where the different geotechnical and geological hazards associated with seismic events can be evaluated and the large number of factors required to describe these hazards can be taken into account. This paper reviews recent progress in liquefaction evaluation and the implementation of these developments in GIS based hazard evaluation procedures. Examples of spatial liquefaction analysis systems are described and typical results are presented.
