A search for D0-(D)over-bar0 mixing

The CLEO Collaboration has searched for D-0-(D) over bar (0) mixing using the 'wrong-sign' decay D-0 --> K+pi (-). With 9.0 fb(-1) of data collected by the CLEO II.V detector we have measured the time-integrated rate of D-0 --> K(+)pi (-) relative to the Cabibbo-favored decay (D) over bar (0) --> K(+)pi (-) to be R-WS = (0.34 +/- 0.07 +/- 0.06)%. A time-dependent measurement of the 'wrong-sign' decay rate places 95% C.L. limits on the D-0-(D) over bar0 mixing amplitudes, x' and y', of \x'\ < 3.2% and -5.9% < y' < 0.3%. In a second analysis, we have compared the lifetime of the CP+ eigenstate decays D-0 --> K-K+, pi (+)pi (-) to our measured D-0 lifetime and are able to place 95% C.L. limits on y = Delta Gamma /2<(<Gamma>)over bar> of -8.5% < y < 2.1%. Each of these results is preliminary.
