摘要
A trisphosphonate and various triammonium and trisamidinium compounds, all containing a C-3 axis Of symmetry, form strong 1:1 complexes in methanol and water. The structural information about these complexes is best explained in terms of self-assembly by means. of a cyclic array of alternating charges resulting in the geometrical shape of a molecular capsule.
