Preparation and electrochemical study of modified carbon ceramic electrode with 5-(4-dimethyl amino benzelyden)-rhodanin for the determination of silver

摘要
The carbon ceramic technique is a new, simple and reliable way for the preparation of modified electrodes. The carbon ceramic conduct in the presence of graphite powder was recently proposed as a versatile way to obtain tailored electrode materials. In the present study, 5-(4-dimethyl amino benzelyden)-rhodanin (RNSH) was used as a reagent in the preparation of modified carbon ceramic electrode. This electrode was used in the determination of trace amounts of silver by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) technique. The best results were obtained under the following optimized conditions: 10 min accumulation, +0.8 V potential accumulation, 50 mV pulse amplitude, 50 mV s(-1) scan rate. Applying in the DPASV method at 0.1 M McIlvaine buffer with pH 5.0, linearity was achieved from 10(-13) to 10(-7) M with limit of detection 4.5 x 10(-14) M. The proposed method was applied to determination of silver in human hair.
