摘要
Electrophysiology is at the basis of bio-electronic interaction. Excitable cells or tissues can communicate with electronics, either in experiments where the bio-signal is recorded and analyzed, or in experiments where the biological tissue is electrically stimulated. In the recording case, the action potentials of the bio-signal must be discriminated from noise, in order to measure the influence of a physical parameter or a pharmacological agent, and hence explore unknown mechanisms. In the stimulation case, a controlled amount of charge is delivered to the tissue, in order to restore or compensate a biological function.
