Stability Analysis of Patent Pool via a Novel Growth-Absorption Model of Knowledge Stocks

摘要
By establishing a novel model on the growth of knowledge stocks, we first perform analysis on the requirements that enterprises join a patent pool. After that, a function model of knowledge absorption capacity is introduced, based on which, we take the influence on absorption capacity into account in view of the investment proportion of knowledge stocks by enterprises in the patent pool. We further detailedly describe how the investment behaviors influence on the stability of a patent pool. Our sophisticated model can tell us some intrinsic properties on the patent pool stability, which is of use for companies to realize the patent tool and therefore take appropriate actions on patent pool construction and stability promotion when carrying through their knowledge stocks and benefits maximization purpose.
