China's poverty alleviation during the 13th five-year period

2019 was an important year for the PRC, as it was the key year in building a comprehensive middle-income society as the first goal in the framework of the two centenary program: the 100th anniversary of the Communist party of China in 2021 and the centenary of the PRC's formation in 2049. One of the main issues identified by the country's leadership in the implementation of the plans is the fight against poverty, which is highlighted as the main focus of the 13 five-year plan. At present, the Chinese authorities have set the task of reducing poverty to 2 %, and then to zero. People consume more and thereby increase domestic demand, which stimulates economic growth. To achieve "the Chinese dream of a great revival of the Chinese nation", China needs to solve many problems. However, the efforts undertaken confirm the determination of the Chinese leadership to build a middle-class society by 2020. The main period for the implementation of this goal was the 13th five-year plan.
