Synthesis and fluorescence of chiral amino alcohol lanthanide complexes and their catalytic asymmetric hydrogenation for aromatic ketones

摘要
Three new C-2-symmetric chiral amino alcohols (PhOHCHCH2)(2)NCH2C6H4R (R=OCH3, L-1; R=CH3, L-2; R=Cl, L-3) and their lanthanide complexes LLnCl center dot 2THF (L=L-1, L-2, L-3; Ln=La, Sm, Gd) were prepared and characterized. Fluorescent spectra revealed that some complexes emitted fluorescence. In-situ-chiral amino alcohol lanthanide complexes L-1/SMCl3 center dot 4THF effectively catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of aromatic ketone with a conversion of 71% and enantiomeric excess (ee) of 32%.
