摘要
In the course of excavations in the settlement Bentumersiel in the river clay district on the lower Ems a cremation burial with rich Roman imports from the period around AD 300 was discovered in 2006. Among the grave-goods are also three bronze vessels and judging from the amount of preserved melted glass presumably a larger number of glass vessels. Not only for the clay district in Lower Saxony but also for Western Germany between the rivers Weser and Rhine in general this is an exceptional find.
