Study on Mining City Development Based on Life Cycle Theory

The development of mining city mainly relies on the local mineral resources, and its rise and decline has a strong relation to the resources reserves. Affected by the exploration, exploitation and consumption of local mineral resources, the development of mining city reflects distinct life cycle characteristics. By analyzing the law of each development stage of mining city, this paper found out the main problems faced by the mining city in different development stage, and also put forward corresponding countermeasures from the viewpoint of city management. This paper believed most mining cities need to go through the three development stage of growth, great prosperity and decline, and each development stage has its own characteristics and main issues. Therefore, to deal with these problems properly is an important grantee for mining city to achieve comprehensive, coordinate and sustainable development.
