摘要：

The article discusses the features of the socio-economic stratification in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the stratification of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of "the level of income, quality of life index" (with the release of 5 groups of households and individuals), and proposed a classification dividing the regions of Kazakhstan in terms of income. In 2018, assistance from the state is not needed, only a third of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the rest in varying degrees, need social support. The results of the socio-economic stratification of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan will enable the social policy not only directly in need of protection, but also to determine the critical group, which will take timely measures of state support in order to maintain political stability and social cohesion of the Kazakhstan society.
