Structural aspects of V2O5-P2O5-B2O3 semiconducting glasses:: 31P and 11B MAS NMR studies

摘要
V2O5 - P2O5 - B2O3 glasses were prepared by the conventional melt quench method. The DC conductivity measurements as a function of temperature above 200k revealed the conduction mechanism as due to electron/polaron hopping. P-31 MAS NMR patterns showed the existence of phosphorus structural units with one bridging oxygen atom (Q(1) units). Addition of B2O3 in these glasses result in the formation of both BO3 and BO4 structural configurations as revealed by B-11 MAS NMR. The concentration of tetrahedral boron structural units increases with increase in B2O3 contents in these glasses.
