CRITICAL FACTORS IN RECREATIONAL AGRICULTURE ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN BASED ON ECOLOGICAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

In comparison with traditional agricultural activities, recreational agriculture presents deeper effects on natural environment. Excessive commercial and entertainment business orientation and development as well as the idea of "man will always conquer nature" to the environment result in the loss of unique natural features and local characteristics in villages and more seriously cause irrecoverable environmental disasters in rural environment. Aiming at recreational agriculture visitors in Guangxi Province, 420 copies of questionnaire are distributed for this study, and 327 valid copies are retrieved, with a retrieval rate of 78%. The research results show that: (1) "growing from place" is the most emphasised dimension, followed by "overall principle", "local wisdom", and "feature display", and (2) top five indicators, among 12, are ordered features and characteristics, ecological space, farmer participation, facility preservation, and environmental diversity. According to the results to propose conclusions, it is expected to take care of the idea of ecological sustainable development, respect ecological environment, and stress on sustainable development of local resources to seek methods and principles for recreational agriculture environmental design and avoid improper development impact. It is expected to provide the reference for future recreational agriculture environmental design.
