摘要
Digestion of dairy cattle and their excrements are a significant source of methane and nitrous oxide emissions. Increasing the productivity, in terms of annual milk yield, is discussed as an appropriate measure to reduce those emissions on a product base. Considering replacement of dairy cattle and the emissions during the growth of calves and heifers it could be proofed that emissions are reduced by finding an optimum in annual milk yield rather than a plain maximization. This paper focuses now on the influence of different feeding regimes on this optimum.
