An empirical investigation on the relationship between foreign trade and economic growth in China

摘要：
This paper employs cointegration and error-correction model to analyze the causal relationship between foreign trade and economic growth in China. The empirical results show evidence for unidirectional causality running from export growth to economic growth. There is also evidence that bi-directional causality exists between import growth and economic growth, and export growth significantly causes economic growth.
