By the radiological examination of pet snakes and lizards, veterinary clinicians obtain such additional information that routinely supplement their everyday diagnostic and therapeutic work. In the first part of their article the authors summarize the basic technical conditions of radiological examinations of snakes and lizards. They describe the radiological features of healthy snakes and lizards and analyse the radiological indications of contrast radiography.
