摘要
A prototype intelligent fault detection system has been developed which utilises fieldbus technology. Fieldbus proves to produce a cost effective distributed fault detection system which can be used in a wide variety of industrial condition monitoring applications. This paper intends to discuss the intricacies of selecting and configuring a fieldbus system suitable for condition monitoring purposes as well as discussing some conceptual ideas for using fieldbus to construct a distributed intelligent fault detection system.
