One of the most risky occupations is police work. It's specific profession, where some level of aggressive behavior in concrete contexts is necessary to use. Especially inadequate use of force might have far-flung consequences, not only for policeman. In submitted study the view on decision-making process from the cost-benefit view is shown (Archer & Southall, 2009). Main assumption of this view is considering of different behavior's consequences as profits and losses. For data collection three methods were used Richardson, Conflict response Questionnaire (RCRQ) (Richardson & Green, 2006) focused on direct forms of aggression, Cost-Benefit Questionnaire, inspired by original version from Archer & Southall (2009) and Archer et al. (2010). Results confirm significant role of anticipated consequences in decision-making process. Obtaining respect is mostly anticipated benefit of aggression by police officers. Fear of injuring of provocateur and negative consequences connected with violating of law are mostly anticipated costs. Influence of age, gender and number of years in service is not confirmed. Main purpose of submitted study lies in closer analysis of decision-making process connected with aggression of police officers. Findings can be utilized in preventive programs.
