摘要
Porous equiatomic nickel-titanium alloys have emerged as possible materials for bone implants because of their unique mechanical properties and their biocompatibility. Porous nickel-titanium can be fabricated using self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) which produces specimens with pore size distributions essential for good osseointegration. In this paper, the response of porous TiNi to compressive loading is characterized and the effect of the alloy's crystal structure on its mechanical behavior is investigated.
