摘要
Open transmission access and the evolving of more specialized companies for generation, transmission, and distribution affects the formulation of the AGC problem to accommodate new constraints associated with the territorial functionality of each company. In this paper, the AGC problem is formulated with a clear representation of the role of the new network structure. Computer simulation results reveal the impact of this structure on the functionality of AGC. The scope of this paper is limited to a two-area system for simplicity and ease of illustration of key implementation and operation points. The problem formulation can be expanded easily to larger systems.
