摘要：
Introduction: Oral health not only deals with healthy teeth but also with well being of surrounding structures in the oral cavity. It is necessary for a dentist to know about all diseases that may occur in the oral cavity inorder to diagnose any abnormality seen when a patient comes to visit the clinic.Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign neoplasm of salivary glands It most commonly occurs in the parotid gland in females. Aim: The aim of our study is to find out the awareness levels about pleomorphic adenoma among dental students. Materials and Methods: A well structured questionnaire was prepared and circulated to 100 dental students through google forms. The responses were collected and analysed statistically in SPSS version 23. Results: Upon analysing responses it was observed that awareness levels were moderate. Only 44% of participants knew that pleomorphic adenoma refers to salivary gland neoplasm. Conclusion: Hence, from this study we arrive at the conclusion that more awareness should be created among the dental students about pleomorphic adenoma and its management.
