摘要
The thirst raising of mobile traffic demand of next generation's cellular communication (5G) is expected to be reduced by the use of mmWave spectrum. The use of mmWave band (10 to 300 GHz) is equally indispensable in backhaul (eNBs to core network) network as similar to access network (user equipment to eNBs). However, the channel modeling in backhaul network is still very difficult due to high propagation loss, environmental attenuation, absorption loss, and sensitivity of blockage. In this research, the spatial statistical channel modeling (SSCM) for 5G backhaul networks are investigated under unlicensed V band (60 GHz) in case of both line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments. By using the simulator NYUSIM for urban macrocell scenario we analyze channel characteristics viz angle of departure (AoD), angle of arrival (AoA), power delay profiles (omnidirectional, directional, small scale) and path losses, showing the distinctions of allocating receiver locations in both LOS and NLOS conditions. These investigations demonstrate the potential of 60 GHz mmWave band and its suitability for future 5G backhaul network design.
