Coherent anti-Stokes Raman light scattering is investigated in the constant-intensity approximation. It is shown that it is important to take into account effects of self-action and cross-interaction, which have a direct effect on the optimal phase relationship between the interacting waves in nonlinear optical scattering of the frequency of an intense light wave. The spatial behavior of the coherent anti-Stokes wave intensity and the phase of both the pump wave and the anti-Stokes component is investigated. Nonlinear interaction of the waves results in a change of the spatial beat period. The intensity of the anti-Stokes scattering component is considered as a function of the phase mismatch and the intensities of the pump and Stokes wave. According to the obtained analytical expressions, an efficient generation regime of the anti-Stokes scattering component can be implemented if the optimal process parameters are chosen. Generation of the anti-Stokes coherent scattering component in an optic fiber is compared with that in a bulk medium. The intensity of the output coherent radiation of the anti-Stokes component can be controlled by varying the pump intensity.
